Becket & London

London was the city of Thomas Becket's birth, and he was known as 'Thomas of London' for much of his lifetime.

After his death, the citizens of London quickly adopted him as their patron saint. Many of the most important buildings in medieval London had strong connections to Becket, and devotion to him shaped the city in ways that can still be seen today.
